Police today arrested two persons on the charges of abducting a man, keeping him in confinement and torturing him for not repaying a loan.
Zaheer Khan (34) was abducted on August 13 and kept in a room at a petrol bunk in Kukatpally area because he failed to repay the money he had borrowed from bunk owner M Shah, said police sub-inspector S Venkanna.
"The issue seems to be non-repayment of money by Khan to the bunk owner, loaned around 4-5 months ago. It is not clear how much money Khan owed," Venkanna said.
Khan managed to escape from the room yesterday.
Local TV channels had aired a video clip, showing a man's legs being belted while another man sits on his legs.
Mohd Sohail and Siva were identified as the arrested duo, while search is on for others.
