Two arrested for accepting bribe in separate cases

Two persons have been arrested in separate cases for allegedly accepting bribes, a spokesman of Haryana Vigilance Bureau said today.
Sushil Kumar Malik, a driver training instructor at Haryana Roadways in Karnal was arrested yesterday for allegedly accepting the bribe of Rs 8,000 from a person to pass him in the necessary training test, he said.
A case has been registered against him under Prevention of Corruption Act, he said.
In another case, Mahinder Singh, store keeper at Power Utilities in Titram district, Kaithal, was nabbed for allegedly accepting bribe of Rs 1,000 from a resident of Kithana in district Kaithal in lieu of issuing a replaced transformer.
A case has been registered against him at the police station of the State Vigilance Bureau at Ambala, the spokesman said.
