The accused have been identified as 35-year-old Titu Singh, a resident of Meerut in Uttar Pradesh, and Vishavnath Kevat (26), a native of Nalanda in Bihar, and recovered Rs 1.25 lakh along with a country-made pistol from their possession, they said.
The duo had looted one Ajay Kumar, a whole-seller who supplies ginger in Gazipur and Okhla Mandis, on September 14 when the victim was going to drop his friend.
In his complaint, Kumar said he was going on his motorcycle along with his friend after collecting Rs 4.5 lakh in cash from Okhla Mandi.
"Though Kumar and his friend resisted, the boys attacked them with knife and stabbed them below the stomach and drove away along with cash," a senior police official said, adding the accused were arrested on a tip off.

On sustained interrogation, both the accused disclosed that they used to gamble on cricket matches and had incurred big loses. To make up the loses and debt, they planned this robbery.
"Before committing the robbery, accused Titu arranged a Katta from his village, Shyam arranged Motorcycle and Banty arranged a knife. Accused Banty and Shyam are still absconding and investigation was on," said Mandeep S Randhawa, Deputy Commissioner of Police, South-East District.
