Two arrested for taking bribe in Punjab

Prem Nath, a junior engineer of Powercom, was arrested when he was accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 in Moga district, a vigilance spokesman said.

The junior engineer had demanded the bribe for installation of a new domestic electric supply connection at his residence, he said.

Jarnail Singh, a revenue official of Jalandhar tehsil, was nabbed taking a bribe of Rs 15,000 from one Aslam for the de-markation of his plot at Santoshi Nagar, the spokesman said.
