Two bludgeoned to death in AP

Two motor bike-borne persons were today bludgeoned to death with iron rods here after they were hit by a mini van, police said.
The mishap took place near Subbayya hotel junction when the victims were hit by the van and then attacked with rods killing one person on the spot while the other succumbed to his injuries on his way to a hospital, Town Circle Inspector M D Umar told PTI.
The deceased have been identified as B Bala Gangadhar (50) and Jagadam Ramaswamy (42), police said.
The assailant Ashok Kumar, who was driving the van has been taken into custody and is being interrogated, police said.

The bodies have been sent to government general hospital for postmortem.
Police suspect old rivalry behind the murders and further investigation is underway.
