They said over 20 people armed with sticks beat two brothers to death last night at Bamni village due to an old dispute over a piece of land.
The dead have been identified as Shambhu Yadav and brother Dhanraj Yadav, the police said.
The sources said on the basis of a complaint of the son of Shambhu Yadav, an FIR has been registered against main accused Meera Yadav and 19 others.
Five persons have been arrested in this connection, the police said.
