The incident occurred when BSF personnel were trying to resist the armed smugglers from dispatching goods to the other side of the border. BSF fired four rounds in the air to disperse the smugglers, BSF sources said.
The injured Asst Sub-inspector, Kamalesh Kumar Tripathi was admitted to a local hospital. The other injured S Debnath was given first aid.
