Two buildings damaged by lightning in Mizoram

Two buildings were damaged in lightning in Mizoram since Thursday.
Officials said a furniture workshop in Kolasib district was struck by lightning last evening and the building caught fire which burnt everything including saw machines.
In another incident lightning hit a residential building at Serchhip town forcing the family to evacuate it, the officials said.
Several other houses were damaged across the state in a squall that accompanied pre-monsoon rains, they added.
