Two children burnt to death, 250 houses gutted in fire

Two children were burnt to death as a fire broke out today gutting 250 houses in a village under Ujiarpur block in Bihar's Samastipur district.
The incident took place in Balrampur village of East Pataili panchayat as the fire broke out in a kitchen of a house and spread to adjoining areas gutting 250 houses, Block Development Officer (BDO) Sanjeev Kumar said.
The blaze claimed two lives of Guddu Kumar (8) and Doli Kumari (9), he said.
Rescue and relief measures have been launched among the affected families, Kumar said.
