Two dacoits killed, one injured in bomb blast

Two dacoits were killed and another was severely injured when a bomb being carried by them exploded in Kishanganj district of Bihar late last night.
Kishanganj Superintendent of Police Rajeev Ranjan said, "A gang of dacoits was moving with criminal intentions in the area and a bomb being carried by them exploded somehow. Many of them were injured and fled in different directions. We have so far recovered two bodies and arrested another one in injured condition."
The incident happened near Pir Pokhar in Pothia block.
Ten unexploded powerful bombs have also been recovered from the spot, he said.
While one body was recovered from the banks of Mahananda river nearby, another was found near Aluabari railway station in adjoining area of West Bengal.
The injured dacoit was arrested from Pothia police station area.

The SP said several other gang members seem to have been injured in the incident and intensive raids are being conducted to nab them.
Efforts are on to identify the dead dacoits, he said.
Police officials added that the dacoits are suspected to have come from West Bengal.
Bomb disposal squad has been called to defuse the bombs recovered from the blast spot.
