'The Meena Bazar', a popular name in Chennai, has been brought to Coimbatore for the first time and specially organised for women, which is going to be a midnight extravaganza, Sandeep Mehta, organiser and chairman of Rajasthan Cosmo Club Foundation, Chennai, said.
The expo, inaugurated by 'Kakka Muttai' Tamil Movie fame, Aishwarya Rajesh, has over 65 Stalls, showcasing jewelleries ranging from Rs.8,000 to Rs.20 lakh, he said.
The proceeds from the exhibition will be utilised for distributing clothes, uniforms and books to needy persons and school students, Mehta said.
