Altogether 150 child specialists are participating in the conference to exchange their experience on advance treatment of neonatal and search for reasons of child death in state.
Paediatricians participating in the conference said smooth delivery room (DR) management of preterm neonate could help in arresting infant mortality rate in Jharkhand.
They said that 30 per cent f preterm neonate do not survive due to mismanagement in delivery room. Temperature of room must be monitored.
"Matter of concern is that despite training of DR management most of the doctors and nurses do not apply the management during crisis. For checking infant mortality rate it is need of the hour to impart DR management to doctors of government hospitals, private nursing homes from district level to block level. Such training programme should be organised continuously," said Dr Lalan Bharti of Delhi.
