Two dead in mishap, one-year-old baby survives

Two women and a child were run over by a power wagon while they were trying to cross rail tracks at a level crossing near Salamatpur, about 30 km from here, police said today.
They said the women, along with a one-year old child, were trying to cross the rail track between Geedhbad and Murkabad yesterday when the heavy vehicle ran over them.
Both the women died on the spot, while the baby survived, sustaining serious injuries and was later shifted to Hamidia Hospital in Bhopal for treatment, police added.
Identities of both victims were yet to be ascertained, police said, adding, a case has been registered in this regard and investigations are on.
