Two family members among three killed by speeding car in UP

Three people, including two women of a family, were killed today after a speeding car hit them near Harpur village in the district, police said.
The speeding car hit cyclist Ram Daras (48) and then two women -- Soni (45) and Tara (50) -- who were sitting alongside a road, they said.
The women died on the spot while the cyclist succumbed to his injuries in a hospital, the police said.
Agitated over the incident, locals allegedly torched the vehicle, they said, adding that the driver was later arrested.
