Birju and Nishan Singh were awarded the jail sentence by Additional District Sessions Judge Ombir Singh, who also imposed a fine of Rs 46,000 on each of the convicts.
They were convicted under IPC sections 302 (murder), 364 (abducting in order to murder) and 394 (voluntarily causing hurt in committing robbery), according to government lawyer Anjum Khan.
The two had looted a truck after killing its driver Arvind Kumar who was on his way to Delhi from here on April 14, 2009.
