According to Additional Public Prosecutor Sardar Harjeeth Singh, the accused Gudala Ramulu (45) and Pasupulati Ramu (23) of Raghavapur village under the Peddapalli police station limits, brutally murdered Polampally Bikshapathi (43), a farmer in Raghavapur village over a land dispute.
The deceased had objected to the establishment of a rice mill of the accused, near a school building, as it could have caused pollution.
There were civil disputes pending between the deceased and Gudala Ramulu.
On 2010 March 5, the duo allegedly axed Bikshapathi to death.
While awarding life imprisonment to the accused, Karimnagar Additional Sessions Judge G Venkatakrishnam Raju also imposed a fine of Rs 1000 each, the public prosecutor said.
