Two held at Delhi airport for stealing copper wire

Two electricians working at the Delhi airport have been apprehended today for allegedly trying to steal copper wire coils weighing 39 kilograms, a senior official said.
The official involved in the security of the Indira Gandhi International Airport said CISF personnel deployed at the airport detected suspicious movements of two persons in the international terminal area and intercepted them.
Just as the two, identified as A Ansari and Nagesh K, were nabbed by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel, the latter threw away his back pack on the ground.
"About 39 kgs of copper wire was recovered from the bag. The two work as electricians at the airport and have been issued terminal pass. They have been handed over to the police," the official said.
It is being investigated if they were trying to steal the copper wire, he said.
