Two held for death of a beggar

Two persons have been booked in in connection with the recent death of a woman beggar due to electrocution in Bhiwandi town in the district, police said today.
The duo, identified as Mohamad Hasin Asaf Ansari (22) and Sajjad Mohamad Ansari, was booked for the alleged power theft and also for causing death by negligence (section 304(a) of IPC) for the accidental death of a 60-year-old woman, ASI V V Naik of the Bhoiwada police station said.
The victim, Jaitun Bakridin Sha of Vanzarpatti Naka died due to electrocution on August 18, after which, a case of accidental death had been registered, police said.
"However, during the probe, it was found that the accused duo had illegally drawn electricity for their zerox shop in the area and the defective wire led to the electrocution of the woman after she accidentally came in its contact," Naik said.
The duo was booked yesterday, police said adding that no arrest was made in this connection.
