Two youths have been arrested for allegedly harassing girls on their way to college at Gharipukhta village in Shamli district, police said.
Mukeem and Harun of Gharipukhta village were arrested yesterday, SHO Amerdeep said, adding they have been accused of harassing girls belonging to Purmali village.

The girls used to attend a college at Gharipukhta village and the accused allegedly harassed them on their way, police said.
The girls' families had registered a complaint on August 1 accusing four youths in the case. Two of them were arrested following threat by people to hold a community panchayat to press for their demand.
A case has been registered against the accused under section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 506 (criminal intimidation), and 326 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means) of IPC and under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
