Two held for smuggling liquor in vehicle bearing BJP flag

Two men were arrested here today for allegedly smuggling liquor which was seized from their vehicle bearing the BJP flag and a fake registration number, police said today.
45 cartons of liquor were seized from them from an area under Gangoh police station limits when the police intercepted the speeding vehicle, police said.
Police officials said the registration number on the front of the vehicle was fake, while the one on its rear was genuine, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sanjay Singh said.
The arrested accused, Rajiv Kumar and Karnel Singh, told police during interrogation that they were given the liquor which was to be supplied in Deoband, he said.

Both the accused have been arrested and further probe is underway, the SSP said.
