Two held with illicit liquor, intoxicant capsules in J-K

Two persons were today arrested and illicit liquor and intoxicant capsules seized from them in separate incidents in Jammu and Reasi districts.
On a specific information, police conducted a raid on a shop at Pallanwala in Akhnoor belt of Jammu and recovered 13 pouches of liquor, police said.
The owner of the shop, identified as Vijay Singh, was taken into custody, they said, adding a case under the Excise Act has been registered and further investigations are on.
In another incident, police recovered 1.5 litres of country liquor from the house of one Baldev Singh in Khour area of Jammu district, they said.

Meanwhile, Surjeet Singh of Bakshi Nagar area of Jammu city was arrested from Ban Ganga in Katra belt of Reasi district and 720 intoxicant capsules seized from him today, they said.
A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act was registered against him and further investigation started, they added.
