Two held with intoxicants and country made liquor in Jammu

Two persons were arrested and large quantity of intoxicants and country made illicit liquor was seized from their possession in two separate incidents in Jammu city today, police said.
Nihal, a resident of Akhnoor, was intercepted in Bakshi Nagar area and intoxicant capsules were seized from him, an official said.
The accused was arrested and booked under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
In another incident, Manwal police arrested Ranjit Kumar, a resident of Kha Pota, and seized 68 pouches of country made illicit liquor from his possession, the officer said.
"The accused has been booked under various sections of the Excise Act. Further investigations in both the cases have been initiated," he said.
