Among those who were dismissed yesterday, also include a sub-inspector and one assistant sub-inspector rank officials, police said.
Moga SP (detective), Harjit Singh Pannu told reporters here today that the four officials were dismissed after a thorough probe, in which it was found that they were "negligent" in performing their duty, while one was allegedly found to be "hand-in-glove" with the accused.
Those dismissed from the service include Inspector Bhola Singh, Inspector Kuljinder Singh, SI Guljinderpal Singh and ASI Bhag Mal.
According to Pannu, police registered a case against brothers Kuldeep Singh and Kulbir Singh; Baljinder Kaur, Rajinder Singh, Bhola Singh and 4-5 unknown persons in connection with the NRI's murder here earlier this month.
