The incident took place in the forests near Lenda village under Basaguda police station limits whena joint team of CRPF and district force was carrying out an anti-Naxal operation,a CRPF official told PTI.
The joint squad had launched an area domination exercise on November 22 from Sarkeguda, around 450 kms away from the state capital.
About 12 kms away from Sarkeguda, when they were cordoning off a thickly-forested patch near Lenda in afternoon, two jawansaccidentally stepped over apressure improvised explosive device (IED)triggering the blast causing injuries to them, the official said.
