Justice Rajiv Shakdher, who was a judge of the Delhi high court, was transferred to the Madras high court in April last year, while another Delhi high court judge, Justice Ved Prakash Vaish, was sent to the Meghalaya high court in May last year.
The SC collegium has now recommended that they should be transferred back to their "parent" high court. The recommendation was made last week, the official, who requested anonymity, said.
As on September 1, the Delhi high court, with an approved strength of 60, was functioning with 38 judges -- a shortage of 22.
