Two kg gold ornaments missing from train

A worker in a jewellery making unit in Eluru in Andhra Pradesh today lodged a complaint with police here that two kg of gold ornaments, he was bringing in the train, was found missing from nearby Erode station.
According to police, Ravikumar, who boarded Sabari Express from Tenali found the bag containing the ornaments to be delivered to some shops here missing when he reached Erode.
He had noticed the bag, tied with a chain, till Dharmapuri and the theft might have occured between Dharmapuri and Erode, the complaint said.
Based on the complaint, police registered a case, which will be passed on to Erode, the jurisdiction where the theft was reportedly occured, they said.
