Two killed, 11 injured as vehicle falls into ditch

Two persons were killed and 11 others injured when a vehicle fell into a ditch near Bhattakufar, police said today.
The passengers were on their way back to Mashobra after attending a marriage function when the accident occurred last night at a spot 16 km from here.
The deceased were identified as Pratap and Guddi while the 11 injured persons have been admitted to IGMC Shimla.
Most of the occupants hailed from Mashobra in the outskirts of Shimla and adjoining villages.
The police reached the spot after receiving information and injured persons were rescued with the help of locals and rushed to hospital.

Preliminary investigations found that accident took place as the driver lost control over the overloaded vehicle.
