Two 25-year-old men were killed after their motorcycle was allegedly hit by a speeding dumper in south Delhi's Mehrauli area, police said today.
The dumper driver, instead of stopping the vehicle, kept on driving and one of the victims was dragged for a few metres by the vehicle on August 5, they said.
The deceased were identified as Sultanpuri residents Umesh and Sanjay. They were returning from Chhattarpur on a motorcycle when the accident occurred, the police said.
The driver fled the spot leaving the vehicle behind.
Before hitting the bikers, the dumper rammed into a cab injuring its driver, the police said.
After the police were informed about the incident, the injured persons were rushed to a hospital where the two bikers were declared "brought dead", they said.
