At least two persons, including a child, were killed and five others sustained injuries when a tanker hit a van in central Nepal on Wednesday.
The accident occurred in the Chitawan district when the van was heading towards Dhading from Pokhara and the tanker was also coming in the same direction, a police official said.
An unidentified child and a 25-year-old died on the spot in the accident, according to the police.
The injured passengers are undergoing treatment at the Chitawan District Hospital in Bharatpur and Chitwan College of Medical Science.
One among the injured is said to be in critical condition.
Nepal has many mountainous areas roads mostly are narrow. Most accidents in Nepal occur due to poorly maintained vehicles and road conditions.
