Two people were killed in a clash between two groups in a village here Thursday morning, police said.
The incident occurred in the Sadar police station area. Members of the groups clashed with each other and two people died on the spot, Superintendent of Police Dholpur Dusht Daman Singh said.
"They were beaten to death with sticks," another police officer said.
The reasons for the clash were not immediately known. Additional policemen have been deployed in the area and further details in the matter are awaited, the police said.
