Two persons were killed and another one was injured in a head-on-collision between a truck and a jeep near Sarsaud village, about 20 km from here on Hisar-Chandigarh road late last night.
According to police, Jitender, Pappu and Vinod Kumar were on their way from Ludhiana to Rajasthan after purchasing some parts of machines.
A truck coming from Hisar side hit their jeep near Sarsaud village, killing Jitender (23) and Pappu (40) on the spot.
The deceased were residents of Ratoda village in Boondi district of Rajasthan.
The injured Vinod Kumar, also from the same village, has been admitted to civil hospital here for treatment.
Low visibility on account of fog was the cause behind the incident.
A case has been registered on a complaint of the injured against the unknown driver of the truck who ran away after the accident, leaving behind the truck.
The bodies of the deceased were handed over to their relatives after conducting post-mortem here in civil hospital.
