The mishap occurred late last evening when the jeep carrying nine persons was going from Shrikot to Hariti for a wedding, they said.
The driver lost control and the vehicle fell into a deep gorge near Dunda, killing one person on the spot, they said.
Another person succumbed to injuries after being rushed to a nearby hospital, they said.
Two of the seven injured are in serious condition.
