Two KNLA militants apprehended

Two Karbi National Liberation Army (KNLA) cadres have been apprehended for carrying out large scale extortion in Assam's Karbi Anglong district, official sources said today.
Acting on an information that members of the militant outfit were carrying out large scale extortion in Dokmoka, Langin and Bokoliya areas, a joint team of the army and police launched an operation and apprehended two militants of the outfit from Alu Rongphar village under Police Station Howraghat yesterday.
The apprehended militants are Rabindra Tokbi alias Baman Timang and Langthak Bey.
The security personnel recovered a mobile phone with two SIM cards and a motorcycle from their possession.
