Two cubs of a leopard, who were trapped in a cage by the forest department in Niphad taluka of the district, were today found dead, police said.
"The female leopard had been causing panic in the Tarulkhedale area, an agricultural belt. She and her two cubs were subsequently kept in a cage by the officials of the forest department," police said.
The two cubs were found dead yesterday, they said, adding the cause of their death is yet to be ascertained.
