The cadres, identified as Padam Mukka (28) and Kuram Guddi (27), were picked up yesterday by a joint team of the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and the District Force from Konta police station area, a police official said.
While Mukka was active as the head of 'Janata Sarkar' squad of Maoists, Guddi is a jan militia member.
They are natives of Jinetong village in Bhejji area, he added.
The two ultras were allegedly part of the Maoists' squad that had ambushed a patrolling team of the CRPF's 219th battalion while it was on its way towards Bankupara from Bhejji in South Bastar on March 11, the official said.
According to the officer, the duo were also wanted in other naxal-related incidents, including murder, and attacks on police parties on various occasions.
