Two minors drown in separate incidents

Two minor kids today died in separate drowning incidents here, police said.
A two-year-old boy, Aditya, died after he fell into a bucket full of water while playing. He was stuck inside the bucket in his house in Wazirpur area in north west Delhi, a senior police official said.
The incident was reported around 5:00 PM as the boy was left unattended since his father was sleeping and his mother had gone out to meet some neighbours, he said.
When his mother came back, she found him stuck inside the bucket. The toddler was taken to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead, the official said.

In another incident, a two-year-girl, Srishti, died after she fell into a drain maintained by the East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) in Maujpur area of trans-Yamuna part of the city, a police official said.
The incident took place around 8:30 AM when the girl was left unattended. Her father, a vegetable seller, was busy with the customers, he said,
Later, when the locals raised an alarm he found that his daughter had fell into the drain that was partly open for cleaning purpose, the official said.
He took her to a hospital where she was declared brought dead, he said.
