Dr Kuldeep Singh and Harish Kumar were arrested today for allegedly paying money to three persons who settled deals with some parents ahead of the PMET-2012 exam conducted yesterday, SSP H S Mann said.

Five persons including three middleman Dilshad Hussain, Rinku Sidhu and Dhiraj Bagra and two parents Dr Rajpal Bhullar and Manraj, who were arrested yesterday, have been sent to five days police remand by a court here today, the SSP said.

The police was also trying to identify the source from where the old CBSE PMET question paper was procured by these agents which was provided to some parents ahead of the exam yesterday, Mann said.

These persons after having procured the details of the students hailing from Punjab who were to appear in the PMET test had sent SMS to around 500 students and their parents, out of which around 10 persons had replied, some of whom have already been arrested, he said.

However, the police has not been able to nab one Aditya Mishra, resident of Bareilly who had allegedly provided that data to these agents, he said.

During the preliminary investigations, it was found that these agents have been sending students seeking admission in MBBS/BDS course to some renowned private medical colleges in UP and Maharashtra, he said.
