Two more arrested in murder case

Two more persons were arrested in connection with the murder of Shanti Mishra in Goshaninuagaon area here on January 29.
With the arrest of Santosh Panigrahi alias Ijili and Santosh Mishra yesterday, the total arrested persons involved in the incident increased to 12, said sub-divisional police officer (SDPO), Berhampur Thakura Prasad Patra.
At least four more persons allegedly involved in the murder are still at large, he said.
Two rifles, two live ammunition, six mobile phones and 14 SIM cards were seized from Panigrahi, while three mobiles and two SIMs seized from Mishra.
Both were also wanted by the police in some other cases including attempt to murder and bombing incidents.
Panigrahi was arrested from Gate Bazar area by the town police, while moving with the rifles. Mishra was held from Goshaninuagaon police limit.

The conspiracy to finish Mishra was mooted in circle jail, Berhampur. The main conspirator identified as Ami Padhi was inside the jail while other two Mrutunjay Sabat, a rice businessmen and Ranjit Panigrahi alias Babu, a cloth merchant, in the town were already arrested.
