The city police today arrested two more persons in connection with the case related to illegal immigrants from Bangladesh and Myanmar obtaining Indian passports fraudulently.
Acting on a tip-off that Shaik Noor, a Bangladeshi national and a wanted accused, was in Delhi, a team of Hyderabad police visited the national capital, but he had already been arrested by the Delhi police on August 21.
The police then obtained a transit warrant for him. He would be brought here tonight.
Another absconding accused, Hashim alias Shaik Ameer, a native of Myanmar, who was living at Zaheerabad town of Medak district in Telangana, was arrested from Lingampally railway station here.
Their questioning will help police find out the purpose of their stay in India and their activities here, said the commissioner of police (crimes and SIT) T Prabhakar Rao.
On August 14, Mohammed Nasir, a Pakistani national with alleged links with the banned terror organisations HuJI and Indian Mujahideen (IM), who facilitated illegal immigration from Bangladesh and Myanmar, was arrested. Two Bangladeshis, one Myanmar national and two local agents -- Sohail Parvez Khan and Masood Ali Khan -- were also arrested.
On August 20 four policemen were also suspended in connection with the case.
