Two murder case accused surrender in court

Two of a six-member gang, wanted in connection with the recent murder of an engineering college student near Tiruchirapalli, surrendered before the Judicial Magistrate Court at Tiripur today.
The gang had stabbed three youths who were playing cricket on January 10, police said.
The seriously injured--Millar Mandela, Sridhar Prasad and Karpurasundarapandy-- were immediately taken to Tiruchirapalli government hospital, where 23-year old Miller succumbed to injuries, while others are being trated, they said.
One of the attackers was nabbed by others in the playground, while others managed to escape.
Even as police were investigating the case, two persons--Saravanan and Suresh today surrendered in the court which remanded them to judicial custody, police said, adding they have lodged in the Central Jail here.
