The Maoists, identified as Kuldhar Salaam (27), carrying reward of Rs 10,000, and Subbaram Korram (48), were apprehended by a joint team of security forces during a search operation in Dhaudai police station area, a senior police official told PTI.
Acting on inputs about the movement of ultras, the composite squad of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and district force had launched the combing operation towards Maraskol, Sulenga and Kokpad villages of the region, located around 300 kms away from here, he said.
While Salaam was active as a member of Maraskol CNM (Chetna Natya Manch- a cultural wing of Maoists), Korram was working with Temrugaaon Janatana sarkar squad of rebels.
The duo were suspected to involved in the incidents of attacks on police party and murder, the official said.
