In a minor reshuffle, two new ministers were today inducted into the Mamata Banerjee government in West Bengal.
Governor K N Tripathi administered the oath of office and secrecy to Ujjwal Biswas and Chandrima Bhattacharya at a function in the Raj Bhavan here.
Biswas is made minister-in-charge for Correctional Administration, Refugee Relief and Rehabilitation while Bhattacharya will be MoS Health and E-governance (independent charge).
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was present at the swearing-in ceremony along with many of her cabinet colleagues and senior government officials.
Banerjee said that she would carry out another minor reshuffle of her ministry shortly.
Abani Joardar, who was the minister of Correctional Administration, Refugee Relief and Rehabilitation, will remain as a minister without portfolio as he was indisposed.
The TMC government has a strength of 42 ministers and with the fresh induction it went up to maximum 44.
