Two Nigerian nationals have been arrested here for allegedly duping a lady to the tune of Rs 2.25 lakh under a false promise of offering her a job in Qatar Airways, police said today.
Michael Jemes and Umeadi Valentine Chigozie were arrested on August 24 in Delhi and brought to the city today, the Cyber Crime Police of Cyberabad said.
"The accused squeezed the money from the victim in the name of various processes, such as visa charge medical test in bank. However, the woman grew suspicious after a few days and lodged a police complaint, based on which the sleuths went to Delhi and nabbed the accused," it said in a release.
A police official said the duo was brought to the city under transit warrant and produced before a local court today, which remanded them in judicial custody.
