Security forces have arrested two NSCN(R) ultras from Changlang district in Arunachal Pradesh during a crackdown on subversive elements in view of the approaching Independence Day.

The ultras were identified as Bokam Wangrey, a self-styled 'sergeant major' of the outfit and Raju Kumar Choudhury.

An AK-47 assault rifle, ammunition, contraband, multiple sim cards and important documents were seized from them, defence spokesman Colonel Chiranjit Knower said.
