Two persons killed, five injured in accident

Two persons working in brick kilns died and five labourers were seriously injured when the van carrying them to a brick building unit near Paradip overturned near Haladiagada junction on the National Highway 5-A, the police said.
The deceased persons have been identified as Tukuna Mallick and Rudhia Singh, both in their mid thirties.
The accident occurred when a speeding ore-laden truck hit the van from the rear, the police said.
The injured were rushed to Kendrapara district headquarters hospital. They were later shifted to SCB medical college and hospital at Cuutack as their health condition worsened, the police added.
