Two persons wanted in attempt to murder case arrested

Two persons wanted in connection with an attempt to murder a restaurateur in Geeta Colony in East Delhi have been arrested, police said today.
Harpreet Singh and Naresh who had allegedly fired at the restaurateur Ajay Mehta in Geeta Colony, were caught by the police from their hideout last night, said DCP East district Bhairon Singh Gurjar.
In his complaint to police Mehta had said that 4-5 men had came to his house on August 26 evening and thrown bottles in his house. They had also allegedly shot at him.
One round of pistol was recovered by the cops from the spot who had reached their on a PCR call. An FIR was registered in this connection at Geeta Colony police station.
Ajay revealed that he had borrowed Rs 20 lakh from some persons in Geeta Colony and had opened a cafeteria in Noida but the business was not doing well and he had to close it down.
The arrested duo told police that they had given more than Rs 2 lakh to Ajay but despite their request he was not paying back and they had tried to instil fear in him by throwing bottles at his house and firing in the air.
Three other accused have been identified in this connection and efforts are on to arrest them, added the officer.
