Two poachers held

Two poachers were
arrested before they could electrocute an elephant at Rajanapalli in the Jagannath Prasad forest range in Ganjam district, a forest official said today.
Live wires, insulators, bamboo sticks and some other equipment, required to draw power by hooking from KV line, were also seized from the two person after the arrest yesyrtday, Divisional Forest Officer (Ghumusara North) Ramaswamy P said.
Forest officials were searching for three others, the DFO said.
Rajanapalli is known as an elephant corridor and a herd of nine elephants was moving in the area, he said.
