Two policemen held for graft

A sub-inspector of police and a constable were today arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs one lakh in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh.
The SI and constable, attached to the Women's Police Station in Kurnool were caught red-handed by the ACB officials when they demanded and accepted Rs one lakh from the complainant for "not effecting the arrest of complainant, his parents and sister," an ACB release said here.
The bribe amount was recovered from the accused policemen and the duo was arrested.
Further investigation was on.
