"The explosives, weighing 5 kg and 20 kg, were unearthed by a joint team of security personnel from a hill between Nawatola and Pallemadi villages under Khadgaon police station limits," a senior police official said.
As per the official, a composite squad of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and district force had launched an anti-Maoist operationtowards Nawatola, Kukrelpar and Pallemadi villages.
"When they were cordoning offa forested route which connects Nawatola with Pallemadi iron ore mines, security forces spotted a wire connection in bushes and subsequently found the explosives besides 150 metrewire," he said.
Theexplosives were meant to harm security personnel during their operations in the region, he added.
