Two rape cases reported in Ludhiana in last 24 hours

Two minor girls were allegedly raped in separate incidents in the city, while another case of attempt to rape was reported by the police in the last 24 hours.
The victims, in all the reported cases, were minor girls aged between 2 to 9 years, police said.
In the first case, a 9-year-old girl was allegedly raped in a vacant plot near a religious place at Sasrali village on the outskirts of the city.
As per the complaint by the victim's father, the accused after committing the crime also abused and threatened to kill him while escaping.
In the second case at Moti Nagar colony, a six-year-old girl child was allegedly raped by her neighbour, police said.

Police have arrested the accused and identified him as Avinash Chaudhry.

The victim's mother came to know about the incident when she went to the roof for drying clothes and found her daughter crying there.
In the third case, a 22-year-old youth allegedly made a rape attempt on a two-year-old girl at Bharti colony, police said.
The victim's mother complained to police that the accused allegedly took away the victim and attempted to outrage her modesty.
